
Ghangad and Tailbaila fort trek
The Ghangad fort is 30 km away from Lonavala and Khandala. It is 100 km from the city of Pune Mumbai. The fort is 300 years old and can be reached through Tamhini Ghat road or via Lonavala. The Tailbaila fort is located in Lonavala. It consists of two giant walls of 200-250 feet. Tailbaila is known for rock climbing and rappelling. It is located 94 kms from Pune.
Ratangad Trek
It is a Fort at Ratan wadi in Maharashtra. The Ratangad fort is 400 years old and it is covered with mesmerising flowering plants. The fort is also known as Jewel of the Sahyadris.
Tungareshwar Trek
Located at Vasai at the height of 2177 feet. The trek starts from the highway junction which is a kilometer away from the base. After reaching the base you will see a forest checkpost. The actual trek starts from the forest checkpost. The trek is about 3 km walking through 2 streams. You will reach the famous Tungareshwar Shiva temple. Upon reaching the temple, an 8 km trek to the top continues through jungles to Chinchoti waterfall.
Sarasgad Trek
Sarsagad trek is near Pali village in Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is 10 km East of Nagothane. The fort is 490 meters above sea level. From the top of the hill one can easily witness Sudhagad, Sankshi fort, Sagargad and Tailbaila fort.
Mahuli Fort
It is located 75 km north east of Mumbai. The fort’s height is 2815 feet. Adventure sports like rock climbing is the attraction of Mahuli fort. One can visit Shiva temple and a small perennial drinking water cistern on top. There are 3 caves in the fort, one of them is used as an overnight stay by trekkers.
Sandhan Valley
Also known as the valley of shadows, the Sandhan valley is located at Bhandardara near Igatpuri. The place is famous for trekking, rock climbing and bonfire camp under starry sky. The valley is 200 feet deep and 2 km long in distance.
Karnala fort
Karnala fort is also called funnel hill. It is 10 km from Panvel. The main attraction of the place is Karnala Bird Sanctuary, which is also a protected place. The ruins around the fort are famous for trekking.
Garbett Plateau
The Garbett plateau is located at the south west direction of Matheran. From the top of the plateau one can get the 360° view of all the hill stations. The plateau covers 8 square kilometers of Sahyadris. The climate of the plateau is mostly cool with the breathtaking views.
Devkund waterfall
The beautiful Devkund waterfall is situated near Bhira, in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The trek is about 6 km which will take almost 1.5 – 2 hours to complete.
Purandar fort
It’s a mountain fort in Pune. It is at the height of 4472 feet. Located at the western ghats, it is 50 kms away at south east of Pune. The Purandar fort is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Tikona fort
Tikona fort is called Vitangad fort, it is a dominant hill fort situated in Maval. Located near Kamshet, which is around 60 km away from Pune. The nearest fort on the hill is called Tikona peth. It’s a 3500 foot high hill and is pyramidal in shape.
Tamhini Ghats
Tamhini Ghat is the mountain passage between Munshi and Tamhini. The place is all about scenic waterfalls, lakes and dense woods.
Lohagad

Canyon valley

Tiger’s point
The beauty of Tiger point is the lush green forest, waterfalls and lakes. The mesmerising view of sunrise and sunset can be seen from the point. This place is 80 kms away from Pune and 95 kms from Mumbai.
Kune falls
The fourteenth-highest waterfall in India is Kune Falls. The water falls from 200 meters high. It is located in Lonavala Khandala valley.
Morgiri fort

Mrugagad trek
Mrugagad fort is a hill fort at Sudhagad taluka of Raigad district. It is at the height of 1750 feet. The fort lies near the Bheliv village and is completely made of stone.
